Boriken Restaurant Owners

To Our Beloved Borikén Family

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce it's time to say goodbye.

Since opening our doors in 2014, Borikén has been so much more than a restaurant—it has been a second home. Together, we have built a community filled with laughter, stories, and unforgettable moments.

Thank you for allowing us to share the flavors and traditions of Puerto Rico with you. Your support, love, and loyalty have meant the world to our family.

Location: 12800 SW Canyon Rd, Beaverton, OR 97005

What Made Us Special: The name Boriken is the island of Puerto Rico's original name in the Taino language. We brought authentic Caribbean cuisine to Oregon in a warm, family-owned atmosphere where customer satisfaction was always our priority.

"This was our first time trying Puerto Rican food, and Boriken Restaurant absolutely blew us away! The pork mofongo was incredible. The plantains were seasoned so well that I could've eaten them on their own, and the pork was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was perfection."

"My Puerto Rican friend says this is THE best Puerto Rican restaurant food he's ever had in his twenty years in the mainland U.S. The vegetable mofongo was delicious, the yellow rice was incredibly flavorful, and the portions were generous!"

"We ALL loved eating here! Each entree was good. Our server Samuel was GREAT!! I noticed large pieces of tender pork in my husband's Mofongo. The crispy pork wrapped around plantains that I ordered was amazing!"

"The empanadillas de pollo were fantastic. The pastry was perfectly fried and crispy, and the chicken filling was perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes are huge - I could've eaten the seasoned plantains on their own!"

"Tuve el placer de comer en Boriken en el 2016. Yo era camionero y moría por comida puertorriqueña, me estacioné cerca con todo y trailer y me recibieron como en casa. Conocí a Samuel quien me atendió y me ayudó."
